Job title – Independent Chair Location – Countywide - online and in person meetings Hours – 8/10 hours per quarter Contract – ongoing basis, reviewed annually This is a voluntary role but expenses will be paid.
About the job Chair the HCPB meeting on a 6 weekly basis, with potential additional meetings and events. Bring together partner agencies to drive forward the county’s strategy for tackling hate crime. Ensure the voices of people and communities experiencing Hate Crime are heard at each HCPB. About you Experience of working in or closely with voluntary organisations. A desire to develop your influencing skills, your understanding of the organisations who work with Hate Crime and to boost the credibility of this role with organisations and communities. A willingness to develop your working knowledge of Hate Crime legislation and awareness of emerging trends and impacts nationally and locally. Ability to communicate with a range of people. A commitment to ensure the victims’ voice and experience is central to the Hate Crime Partnership Board activity in tackling Hate Crime in Hertfordshire.
